| On June 24, 2007 the Board of Directors of the Illinois Country Music Association voted Pam as recipient of their "Pioneer Award". Since we had a gospel sing later the same day, I had to trick her into attending ... by telling her that I was asked to present the award to Rick Roy. As I introduced "the recipient", I managed to touch on many things Pam and Rick had in common (learning to sing in church, working with several Nashville stars, having two kids, singing at the Nashville Sound Country Opry, being in our wedding ...) The surprise was complete! |
